About this role
Role Overview
Managing user accounts and access across enterprise systems including Microsoft, Oracle, SAGE, Eagle POS, and Epicor
Supporting and maintaining operating systems and core application environments
Installing, configuring, and optimizing servers, backups, switches, access points, and firewalls
Monitoring and maintaining enterprise systems across network, endpoint, and cloud environments
Managing hardware and software licensing and ensuring compliance
Providing escalated support and assisting with help desk triage as needed
Identifying, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats using tools such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, NAC, and IDPS
Applying and coordinating security patches while minimizing operational impact
Supporting backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
Troubleshooting and maintaining network infrastructure including firewalls and VPNs
Managing and supporting networked storage systems
Collaborating with vendors and internal teams to support operational needs
Evaluating and implementing new technologies to improve system performance, scalability, and security
Traveling occasionally to Colville locations including Anchorage, Fairbanks, Prudhoe Bay, and Valdez
Performs other related duties as assigned to support business operations.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Required)
5+ years of experience in systems administration or IT engineering roles solving complex technical challenges
Strong experience with virtual environments and cloud infrastructure
Hands-on experience with Windows-based environments, Epicor, and Oracle systems
Familiarity with infrastructure hardware such as servers, UPS systems, and Fortinet devices
Working knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and configuration
Experience managing and troubleshooting storage systems
Strong ability to analyze problems and implement effective, scalable solutions aligned with best practices
Experience supporting enterprise IT environments and diverse user groups
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and locations
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience with scripting, version control, and documentation of technical work
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
