About this role
Role Overview
You are the primary contact for users of highly complex analytical instruments in the fields of chromatography (GC, GC-MS, LC, LC-MS) and material characterization (UV, IR, TEA) for installation, maintenance, repair and qualification of the instruments.
With technical support from the team, you take on personal contact when users require technical assistance.
You work closely with various experts.
Customers rely on your advice regarding software updates, equipment upgrades, qualifications/validations and process optimizations.
With your competent fault analyses and thorough documentation you help enable increasingly targeted troubleshooting and continuous improvement, both internally and at the customer site.
You also keep an eye on the commercial aspects of your work and take the initiative when required.
You ensure timely and accurate invoicing and make balanced decisions regarding replacement or repair.
Requirements
Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, analytical chemistry, electrical engineering, a technical or related field
Ideally, initial professional experience in technical customer service for software-based analytical systems
Independent, structured and efficient working style
Organizational skills, commitment and a high level of customer orientation
Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
Good knowledge of the MS Office suite
Valid driver’s license (Class B) and willingness to travel within eastern Germany (up to 90%)
