About this role
Role Overview
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Audit employee tax setups, including multi-state and local taxation
Manage payroll corrections, including W-2C processing and amended tax filings
Assist with calculating the organization’s payroll on a regular basis (e.g., weekly, bi-weekly) using ADP Workforce Now
Process timely payment of wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions accurately
Maintain and update payroll information, including employee records and payroll adjustments
Generate and distribute payroll reports and statements
Prepare manual checks and wire requests as needed
Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees
Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure proper integration of payroll data
Assist in the preparation of financial audits related to payroll
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience performing payroll functions
Strong knowledge of US Payroll Tax Regulations and the ability to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, SAP)
Familiarity with labor and tax laws
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
