Prepare, coordinate and review stormwater management studies for road projects;
Prepare, coordinate and review permit applications for stormwater management systems;
Prepare, coordinate and review hydraulic studies for bridges and watercourse realignments;
Design hydraulic structures for water management, including preparation of construction drawings (culverts, ditches, fish passage structures, riprap protections, detention and sedimentation basins, PGO, etc.);
Perform project and/or project team management;
Participate in the preparation of service proposals;
Support existing resources across disciplines as needed.
Requirements
University degree in civil engineering with a specialization in hydrology, hydraulics, or equivalent;
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
Minimum 3 years of experience in the field;
Proficiency in French and English;
Tasks require strong English skills (report writing, plans, specifications, etc.);
Excellent communication skills;
Candidate must demonstrate strong ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams;
Ability to manage multiple projects of varying scale;
Good knowledge of AutoCAD, HY-8 and HEC-RAS 1D/2D;
Good knowledge of MTQ standards and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) guidelines for watercourse crossings;
Good knowledge of the stormwater management guide and REAFIE;
Experience with PCSWMM or HEC-HMS is an asset;
Experience with HYFRAN or HEC-SSP is an asset;
Experience with QGIS or ArcGIS is an asset;
Master’s degree in engineering or a related field is an asset;
Experience in an engineering consulting firm is an asset;
Experience designing municipal water management infrastructure is an asset.
