Improve and deploy Production Control policies, procedures, processes, and tools with a singular focus on improving short-range scheduling, release, and management of manufacturing work order activities for all Blue Origin product lines
Drive disciplined adherence to work order release and management processes
Continually improve performance measures (KPI's) of the health of the tactical schedules and open work orders, as well as of the performance of the PC team
Actively resolve tactical issues involving demand, capacity constraints, and material availability
Identify and implement standard controls focusing primarily on cycle time reduction with a special focus on shared services or common capabilities
Represent Production Control in development of system tools
Organization budget management, forecasting, and reconciling actuals
Effectively collaborate with Production and Program organizations in order to maintain alignment on production priorities and capacity/capability changes
Anticipate potential schedule and personnel risks, and generate ideas, insight and solutions to resolve or mitigate potential issues, followed by decisive action to implement solutions
Coach, mentor and develop your team for future progression within Blue Origin
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline, operations management, supply chain management or other relevant field
10+ years of experience in operations/production/supply planning, scheduling, materials management or other Sales Inventory & Operations Planning related functional area
Extensive experience in and understanding of complex manufacturing and production systems (aerospace, medical or military environments)
Build and lead a high performing team that is tightly coordinated to key partners, including all the teams supporting the manufacturing and supply chain of complex builds
Experience with ERP, MRP, and MES systems in a manufacturing environment
Highly effective and professional verbal and written communication skills with team, internal customers and suppliers that includes a strong focus on teamwork and internal/external customer satisfaction
A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams across large geographic distances
A continuous improvement mindset.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Experience in space systems and/or space launch preferred.
