Supports pharmacy services within the Taussig Cancer Center
Serves a high-volume oncology patient population across inpatient, outpatient infusion, decentralized, and remote care settings
Engages in order verification, direct provider support, sterile compounding oversight, and advanced pharmacy technology
Rotates through responsibilities including remote and floor-based order verification, real-time clinical triage, and provider collaboration
Provides in-pharmacy operational support and oversees IV robotics
Engages in chemotherapy product verification and ensures quality assurance of sterile medication preparations
Cross-trains into inpatient oncology staffing and decentralized clinical coverage for broad professional development
Participates in a rotating day-shift schedule and weekend shifts
Requirements
PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy
Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire
For individuals required to administer immunizations, Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA or American Red Cross and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in administration required within 90 days of hire
Board Certification (preferred)
Completion of a Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience (preferred)
Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience preferred for Clinical Pharmacists hired in Specialized Pharmacy practice area (Oncology) (preferred)
Hospital experience in an IV/clean room environment strongly preferred
