Role Overview

• Manages and coordinates the FMS Department
• Directs and supervises functions and activities
• Performs duties in any nursing capability as needed
• Maintains public relations of the unit
• Determines nursing unit philosophy and implements patient care delivery
• Prepares and maintains unit policies and procedures
• Interview, hire, consults, evaluates, disciplines, and terminates nursing personnel
• Analyzes area needs and studies new trends and developments
• Coordinates Family Maternity Services with other nursing units
• Conducts patient rounds

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Nursing
• 5 years
• Familiarity with current nursing practices
• Ability to develop people
• Experience in project management
• Knowledge of fiscal management
• Good interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of EMTALA and Emergency Nursing
