Responsibility for the technical system architecture of our Thin Film Measurement Systems
Definition and further development of system concepts for new and existing products
Derivation of technical requirements from market, customer and product requirements
Evaluation of technical solution approaches in terms of functionality, measurement performance, quality, development effort and cost-effectiveness
Analysis and design of interfaces between optics, electronics, mechatronics and software
Support for development teams on architecture-related questions and technical decisions
Identification and assessment of new technologies and their potential applications within the product portfolio
Technical contact for complex system issues within development and customer projects
Promotion of professional exchange between the involved departments

Degree in Physics, Engineering or a comparable technical field
Several years of experience in the development of complex technical systems, ideally in the area of optical measurement, analysis or sensor systems
Experience in the development or integration of optical measurement systems as well as an understanding of the interplay between optics, electronics and software at the system level
Experience in defining, evaluating or further developing system architectures
Ability to analyze technical relationships across disciplines and to evaluate solution options in a structured way
Experience working with different stakeholders within development organizations
Structured working style as well as clear and target-group-oriented communication
Willingness to travel of approx. 20%
Excellent German and English skills (at least C1)
