Role Overview
- Design and ship LLM-powered product features end to end
- Pair with product-vertical engineers to unblock AI feature work
- Turn repeated AI implementation work into reusable tools, examples, documentation, and lightweight practices
- Build and extend evaluation discipline for quality measuring and regression catching
- Improve observability for AI workflows
- Harden AI features for production reliability
- Handle PHI and sensitive resident data with care
- Partner with product managers to translate clinical workflows into AI capabilities
- Help non-engineers experiment safely with real data
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software
- Strong in production TypeScript, including typed Node services, testing, APIs, and clean data modeling
- Hands-on applied-LLM experience: prompt design, structured output, tool or agent design, and practical reasoning about cost, latency, hallucination, and reliability tradeoffs
- Ability to explain code functionality
- Comfortable working with sensitive data
- Clear communication skills with PMs, clinicians, operators, and engineers
- High agency and low ego, capable of shaping ambiguous problems
