The Lead, Quality Engineering will develop and implement quality assurance processes for space-based imaging systems, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining the program quality plan, including inspection and testing standards to ensure product compliance
- Providing hands-on quality support during the design, assembly, and integration of opto-mechanical and electrical assemblies
- Leading technical reviews, facilitating design and quality concurrent engineering activities, and verifying subcontractor inspection procedures
- Leading root cause analysis efforts, conducting PFMEA sessions, and managing material review board activities to address nonconformities
- Preparing and presenting formal MRB/RCCA packages to internal teams and external customers, ensuring all phases of the customer lifecycle meet mission-critical requirements
- Coordinating with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges, ensure compliance with contractual obligations, and support continuous process improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of experience
- Minimum of 13 years of relevant experience without a degree
- Demonstrate the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
- Strong project management skills
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance standards
- Experience with DOE
