Senior Traffic Engineer

Metric Geo is a pioneering engineering firm focused on crafting smart, sustainable solutions for complex infrastructure projects. They are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to lead traffic signal design, conduct capacity analyses, and collaborate with clients to enhance transportation systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design Excellence: Lead the development of traffic signal and electrical designs that enhance road safety and efficiency
• Cutting-Edge Analysis: Conduct intersection and roadway capacity analyses using HCS, Synchro, and SimTraffic software
• Safety First: Perform crash and Highway Safety Manual analyses to promote safer travel
• Strategic Planning: Develop conceptual construction staging alternatives and traffic control plans that keep projects moving smoothly
• Client Collaboration: Provide staffing augmentation services and support to State and Municipal clients, ensuring project goals are met
• Business Development: Assist in writing proposals and contribute to our growth by bringing new opportunities and innovative ideas to the table

Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
• A PE license
• Between 6 to 20+ years of experience in traffic engineering
• Strong background in Signal Design
• Proficiency in traffic analysis
• Ability to produce professional deliverables adhering to client standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights
