PenChecks Trust is a FinTech firm that focuses on providing financial products and services. As a Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between the technical development team and the business side, analyzing data and providing insights to drive strategic decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, elicit requirements, and document detailed specifications for software development projects.?
- Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and generate actionable insights for improving financial products and services
- Process Mapping: Evaluate existing business processes and propose improvements to optimize processes and reduce operational costs
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments, monitor regulatory compliance, and implement strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks
- Business Modeling: Develop financial models, forecasts, and projections to support strategic planning, budgeting, and decision-making
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and growth
- Report Generation: Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and management
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Collaborate with quality assurance teams and end-users to ensure software solutions meet business requirements and expectations
- Documentation: Maintain clear and organized documentation of business requirements, processes, and project progress.?
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other teams to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 3+ years preferred in the Record Keeper space or working for vendor(s) who serve Record Keepers (e.g., FIS Relius/Omni, Ascensus, SS&C, etc.)
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the FinTech industry or related financial services
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance in the FinTech sector
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools
- Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile Scrum/Kanban)
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work
- A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CFA) is a plus
