Automation Engineer/QA Manager (remote OK)

Taro is a company focused on empowering local chefs to create and grow their businesses by connecting them to new customers. They are seeking an Automation Engineer/QA Manager to enhance test automation coverage and manage the overall quality process, combining responsibilities of both QA management and automation engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of expanding test automation coverage
• Own the overall quality process
• Improve quality through expanding automated testing
• Wrangle the manual 'last mile' of testing
• Coordinate and drive testing plan with distributed team

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years commercial experience with software QA of iOS, Android, big browser, and mobile web platforms
• Must be able to code; demonstrated ability to expand automated test coverage
• Fire in the belly with a hunger for building great products; must be self-driven and motivated
• Able to work independently; able to coordinate and drive testing plan with distributed team
• Keen eye for quality and a taste for perfection plus an uncanny ability to break everything you touch!
• Significant overlap of working-hours overlap with IST or PT timezones
• Comfortable writing JavaScript
• Love of food - if you drink soylent look elsewhere!
• Experience with JavaScript unit testing frameworks such as chai+mocha or similar
• Experience with JavaScript integration testing frameworks such as cucumber, protractor, or similar
• Working knowledge of server-client/RESTful architecture
• Knowledge of MEAN stack and/or hybrid native (ionic) apps
