The Project Manager - Scrum Master will support a Program Management Office (PMO) on a complex Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) contract, driving effective sprint execution and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a collaborative, high-energy team environment focused on delivering high-value solutions
- Drive effective sprint execution by ensuring clear priorities, strong team alignment, and disciplined Agile practices
- Enhance transparency and accountability through accurate documentation of sprint plans, release plans, team agreements, and retrospectives
- Strengthen communication between stakeholders, product management, and development teams to ensure shared understanding and successful outcomes
- Proactively resolve conflicts and escalate issues appropriately to maintain delivery momentum
- Empower teams to take collective ownership of committed work across analysis, development, testing, and documentation
- Improve delivery predictability by tracking team capacity and performance metrics, enabling data-driven decisions
- Support organizational Agile maturity by coaching teams and reinforcing SAFe principles and continuous improvement practices
Requirements:
- Education: BA/BS in related field or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
- Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience
- Required Technical Skills: Experience with Scrum Master/Agile/Kanban; Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian tools; SharePoint, MS Office (including MS Project)
- Attributes for Success: Good team work and communication skills with all levels of staff
- 2 + years experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Certified Scrum Master Certification
- Prior Agile project experience in the federal space
- Backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and task definition
- Fundamentals of iterative development
- Translating requirements into user stories
- Fundamentals of software development and integration processes and procedures
- Incremental delivery and the value of metrics
