Reports to company management on the current status of IT security.
Advises company management on IT security matters.
Develops and drafts the IT security policy and obtains approval from company management.
Communicates the approved IT security policy to all affected employees.
Issues policies and rules defining how IT security should be implemented in the company.
Supports the use of IT-Grundschutz (IT baseline protection) and the conduct of risk analyses for the development of the IT security concept.
Coordinates IT security objectives with the company's goals for IT use and aligns them with the IT strategies of the individual business units.
Defines IT security responsibilities for subordinate areas.
Reviews developed IT security concepts for correctness and traceability.
Prepares company decisions on significant/costly IT security measures to be implemented.
Monitors progress in the implementation of IT security measures.
Coordinates checks on the effectiveness of IT security measures during ongoing operations.
Coordinates awareness-raising and training measures on IT security.

Experience in IT security and data protection, ideally with relevant certifications such as ISO 27001 or equivalent standards
Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly
Ability to work independently and take responsibility, as well as to collaborate effectively within a team
Willingness to pursue continuous professional development and stay informed about current developments in the IT security sector
Flexibility and willingness to travel within Germany and, if required, internationally
