Provide onsite interpreting (OSI) services to the State of New Hampshire Judicial Branch (NHJB).
Experience with consecutive or simultaneous onsite (in person) interpretation between a court's representative and non-English speakers.
Polite forms of expression, enunciation, and a high level of customer service.
Deliver correct concepts and meanings between speakers and Limited English Proficient (LEP) speakers.
Correct grammar, clarity, and tones between English and your native language.
Follow the speakers’ direction, professionally interject when clarification is needed, and manage the flow of conversation.
Refrain from side conversations with the LEP and entering into any disagreement with the customer or LEP.
Compliance with applicable ethics and standards.

Court-certified or Court-Registered in the State of New Hampshire
you will be asked to provide your credentials.
Agree to undergo annual criminal and state registry background checks:
Criminal
Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services (BEAS)
Division for Children, Youth & Families (DCYF)
Strong understanding of NHJB procedures, e.g. precise documentation of services provided for each session
At least one (1) year of onsite consecutive or simultaneous interpreting experience in a legal/courts setting
Two (2) professional references who can confirm your profession as an onsite consecutive or simultaneous interpreter
Minimum age: Must be 18+ years or older
Minimum education: Must have High School Diploma
Full fluency in English and your native language
Able to provide at least one of the following accreditations:
American Translation Association (ATA)
Trained or accredited through a higher education institution
