Paralegal – Insurance Defense

Role Overview

• Preparing draft discovery as well as discovery responses
• Preparation of subpoenas
• Procuring and following up on medical records requests
• Investigative background checks on parties in cases
• Social media research
• Corresponding with expert witnesses
• Other similar paralegal duties

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of insurance defense experience
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Word
• Must be familiar with California Civil Rules
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent typing skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance
• Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of professionals
