Electrical Drafter/Designer, Entry Level

Role Overview

• The Electrical Drafter/Designer (Entry Level) is responsible for design and drafting services that meet the client’s requirements and expectations while conforming to appropriate Codes and Standards for the associated project.
• Detailed designs and drawings include: · Power & Electrical Distribution · Electrical One-Line Diagrams · Schematics · Interconnection diagrams · Plans-Lighting, Grounding, Power, Heat Tracing, etc. · Conduit/Cable Schedules · Electrical Details

Requirements

• Associate Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent
• 1-2 years design/drafting experience & skilled in standard drafting techniques, preferred
• Proficient in 2-D CAD; 3-D CAD, Plant Design, other Autodesk® products a plus
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical highly desired
• Knowledge of or proficient in field investigations and measurements
• Working knowledge of Codes and Standards
• Working knowledge of or familiarity with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and performing self-checking of work
