Assist in the development of Large Language Models and voice synthesis tools for a specific non-English language, ensuring the linguistic integrity and authenticity of the models.
Collect and analyze linguistic data pertinent to the target language. This involves sourcing, annotating, and validating large datasets to enhance the language models' accuracy and naturalness in voice synthesis.
Provide expert insights on the cultural and linguistic nuances of the target language, ensuring that the models capture idiomatic expressions, regional dialects, and culturally specific references accurately.
Develop localization strategies for adapting the language models and voice synthesis to specific regional contexts within the language group, focusing on cultural appropriateness and regional linguistic variations.
Requirements
Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Master’s program in Linguistics, Translation Studies, Computational Linguistics, or a closely related field.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and process language data, identify patterns, and solve complex linguistic challenges.
An innate understanding of cultural sensitivities and differences, and the ability to adapt content to various cultural contexts effectively.
Experience with specific localization software, knowledge in a particular area of linguistics such as phonetics, syntax, or semantics, or experience working in a multilingual environment.
Be fluent or an advanced speaker of any language besides English (preferably Spanish or French).
