Define and evolve the end-to-end QA strategy and processes for entire products, determining the most effective manual techniques to ensure "world-class" standards of quality
Plan and perform exploratory and manual testing for complex features, going beyond specifications to ensure the user experience is intuitive and seamless
Be the champion and source-of-truth for quality, helping both internal teams and clients identify systematic quality gaps while building processes to close them. Evangelize "quality at the source" across the development lifecycle
Own the documentation and reporting of quality metrics and bug tracking, ensuring the product team, engineers, and clients have clear visibility into project health
Partner with the PMs and TPMs to define acceptance criteria and manage release approvals
Lead cross-functional investigations into complex quality issues, driving them through to resolution with engineering and product teams
Requirements
5+ years of experience in testing complex web, mobile, and API-based applications
2+ years of experience acting as a sole QA leading a project, with the ability to build a testing strategy from a blank slate
A "nose for bugs" and the manual testing skills to break an app in ways a script might miss. You understand user experience as much as code
Strong understanding of client-server architecture, modern engineering stacks, and the ability to use DevTools and API clients (like Postman) to perform deep technical audits
Practical understanding of how manual testing fits into a modern CI/CD pipeline and the ability to collaborate on release cycles
Proficiency at maintaining test documentation and communicating test results to key stakeholders
A mindset for risk-based testing, with the ability to clearly articulate technical risks and quality tradeoffs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
A proactive personality who learns quickly while working independently and is always looking for ways to improve the "how" of building software
Upper-Intermediate level of written and spoken English
