Software Engineer – Traffic Management

Role Overview

• Build and extend various traffic management and supporting systems.
• Work closely with Network Engineering, Product Engineering, Network Strategy, and other teams.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Write code and automated tests, plan, manage, and monitor production software deployments.
• Use a wide range of technologies and programming languages.
• Operate under a 'Run What You Build' model and participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience with networking and/or distributed systems.
• Systems-level programming experience in Go, Python, Rust, C, or C++.
• A solid grasp of networking protocols in Layers 3 and 4 of the OSI Model.
• Knowledge/interest in HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks.
• Experience/interest in network performance monitoring and tuning.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Willingness to adopt and integrate AI tools and systems into your engineering workflow.
