Define the backend architecture in accordance with BlaBlaCar’s technical standards.
Participate in the design, development and maintenance of our internal tools, on both the backend and frontend sides.
Take part in the full application lifecycle, including early meetings, design, development, test strategy, deployment to production, monitoring, alerting and support.
Collaborate with people from different roles and backgrounds, sharing your technical expertise with a mix of engineering, product and business stakeholders.
Serve as a facilitator to improve communication inside and outside the team.

Fluent in object-oriented programming (Java).
Strong knowledge of service-oriented architecture and architectural patterns.
Hands-on experience with developer tools such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring solutions (Datadog).
Product-oriented mindset with the ambition to deliver the best experience to our internal customers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; humble and willing to both share knowledge and learn from others.
Comfortable with change, able to take a step back, prioritize, and focus on high-value work.
Fluent in English.

Nice to have:

Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit and Mockito.
Experience with developer tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring solutions (Datadog).
Experience working with GCP (preferred), AWS or an equivalent cloud platform.
Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (Google Datastore).
