Introduce and place new products with customers
Execute business initiatives and drive sales for long-term growth
Work directly with customers and cross-functional teams from Business Management to Plant Operations
Establish and maintain customer relationships with daily communications on pricing, product availability, and order management
Accountable for achieving budgeted sales of consumer goods to key customers
Develop and achieve maximum sales volume consistent with sales projections for accounts served
Maintain business with existing accounts for continued growth
Maintain current knowledge of Smithfield’s product management, marketing, R&D efforts
Cultivate business relations with personnel at various levels
Ensure prompt and equitable disposition of customer complaints or problems

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university
2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of the dynamics of the food business industry or retail channels
Experience of customer-focused and fact-based selling, including IRI, Nielsen and Perishable Group data
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
High level of written and verbal communication skills
Organizational planning and adaptability
Respectful, approachable and team-oriented while building strong working relationships
Ability to work well in fast-paced, dynamic environment
Possess a valid driver’s license
May travel up to 80% of the time.
