Provide direct leadership to the Surgical Services team, including supervision, coaching, and performance management.
Lead the planning, development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of major surgical policy initiatives and programs.
Lead strategic engagement with internal ministry partners and external health system stakeholders to support coordinated development of surgical initiatives.
Deliver expert policy and system advice to the Director and senior executives on emerging trends, risks, capacity pressures, and gaps related to surgical services.
Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for surgical policy initiatives and programs.
Requirements
University graduation in a related field such as health sciences, public health, health administration, public policy, business administration, or social sciences.
Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in health system policy, program development, system planning, or service delivery, preferably within surgical services, acute care, or a comparable healthcare environment.
Equivalencies may be considered: a combination of related education and directly relevant experience on a one for one basis.
