About this role
Role Overview
Install, configure, update, and deploy desktop and virtual machine hardware and software
Support and maintain desktop management platforms and infrastructure, including endpoints, servers, and related services
Monitor and optimize desktop and virtual machine performance, reliability, and security
Troubleshoot and resolve desktop and virtual machine incidents and service requests in a timely and professional manner
Assist with endpoint security controls, patching, and licensing compliance
Provide guidance and support to end-users on desktop applications, tools, and best practices
Contribute to documentation, standards, and inventory management for desktop services
Collaborate with internal IT teams and vendors to ensure stable and reliable desktop operations
Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives
Use agile tools (e.g., Jira or Azure DevOps) to help manage and track work
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on modernizing desktop services
Requirements
Foundational knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, Intune, SCCM, and Azure
Familiarity with desktop management tools such as Intune, MECM, and Group Policy
Understanding of desktop security tools (antivirus, firewall, encryption, web content filtering, access controls)
Knowledge of desktop networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
Ability to script or automate tasks (PowerShell experience is an asset)
Exposure to agile methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Azure DevOps)
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, solving skills and a collaborative, team focused mindset
Ability to manage priorities, learn quickly, and adapt in an evolving technical environment
