Role Overview
- Participate in the drive for the safety, sustainability, and environmental compliance for the division and maintaining compliance with all environmental programs (air, water, and waste) including permitting and reporting.
- Duties will entail assisting with managing of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, interacting with contractors, conducting environmental projects, tracking on-site waste generation, waste disposal, recycling, and energy use.
- Actively engage with the plant wide team for solutions to problems and promoting continuous improvement.
- Be responsible for maintaining compliance with site SPCC plan, perform disposal/recycling facility audits, work with and build relationships with Environmental Regulators, interpret environmental regulations, and willingness to participate in community outreach and education activities.
- This position will require some travel.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Engineering/Environmental related field
- GPA 2.5 or higher
