Senior Therapist

Role Overview

• Assists BCBA with baseline and ongoing assessments of new clients using appropriate assessment protocols and procedures.
• Implements programs to address socially significant needs of the client.
• Ensures that indicators of assent and withdrawal of assent are noticed, honored, and measured.
• Works with BCBA to implement programming to promote communication skills.
• Creates, prepares and organizes instructional materials.
• Train and monitor BTs and RBTs in the implementation of programs.
• Works directly with the client, reviewing data on treatment targets/short-term goals.
• Collaborates with family to implement programming and provides support during Family Treatment Guidance sessions.
• Attends relevant workplace meetings as required.
• Communicates effectively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals regarding behavioral and therapeutic programming.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Must obtain RBT within 120 days of employment.
• At least 2,000 hours of training or supervised experience in behaviorally based therapy models for children with autism spectrum disorders.
• Must be able to independently and repeatedly lift, move, and carry objects weighing up to thirty-five (35) lbs.
