Optimize business performance by enhancing the alignment between business processes and IT, building and sustaining a process-managed Asset and Liability Management (ALM) organization.
Focus on the human, organizational and value stream aspects of business processes and their transformation.
Collect and analyze process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on improved analytics, increased productivity and reduced cost.
Implement automated processes for all aspects of ALM, including investment analytics, trade processing and hedge design.
Analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes and develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements.
Collaborates with IT, Finance, Actuarial and other areas throughout the firm to ensure that ALM processes are compatible with firm objectives and technology environment.
Determine how new information technologies can support reengineering business processes.
Help to reengineer legacy processes without disrupting business as usual.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Big Data, Quantitative Finance, Financial Modeling, or a similar program.
Internships are not available for students who have completed their college education or who will graduate prior to the conclusion of the internship.
Excellent working knowledge of database/data warehouse programming in Python.
Some knowledge of finance modeling.
Strong communication skills.
Experience in process engineering, accounting, financial technology, or quality control.
Derivative knowledge and basic experience of data processing in Microsoft Power BI a plus.
Decent technical writing skills.
