Build complex HFSS EM models of RF/mmWave multi-stage high gain and high power solid-state amplifiers within channelized and/or enclosed cavities.
Integrate MMICs into various housings and assemblies towards innovative High power RF solutions
Develop advanced cascaded MMIC modules using 2.5D and 3D electromagnetic simulators
Design PCB-level power management and analog circuitry required for MMIC biasing and health monitoring
Conduct product checkout, optimization, and design verification testing (DVT) in the test lab
Execute DVT analysis and present results to the internal and/or external customer(s)
Support products through critical lifecycle stages including concept/feasibility, development, qualification, and production.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline
2+ years relevant work experience
Experience with RF/microwave circuit simulation using ADS, Microwave Office (MWO), and/or Cadence Spectre; proficiency in EDA tools for electromagnetic and wave propagation simulation
Strong foundation in RF and microwave engineering principles including S parameters, material permittivity, and impedance matching
Familiarity with PCB design; experience with schematic capture and PCB layout, especially for RF hardware, is highly desirable
Hands on laboratory experience with RF test and measurement equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly summarize technical concepts
Self driven, proactive learner with strong initiative
MS Electrical Engineering with focus on Analog/RF design (preferred qualification)
