Attend required project kickoff meeting(s), as required by program management for all projects assigned
Responsible for reviewing and approving product work instructions (Manufacturing and Assembly Process Sheets)
Responsible for reviewing and approving routing sheet and process (production traveler)
Determine safe manufacturing processes that produce a quality product in the most efficient method possible
Pursue continuous improvement efforts across the shop to improve quality and reduce lead times and cost
Lead high impact process and quality improvement projects yielding significant reduction in defects and increased flow in the cell using LEAN tools and principles
Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs, and increase capacity
Lead the implementation of process activities related to new product and process integration
Explain and train the manufacturing team on technical related information
Execute manufacturing related quality and lean projects
Assist supervisors and production support in resolving manufacturing problems to drive root cause and corrective action
Process non-conformance reports while keeping all affected departments informed
Identify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variation
Suggest Engineering Change Order Requests to correct errant engineering data or improve the overall manufacturability of the product
Process ECO’s which include, but is not limited to updating Engineering Masters, redlining released W/O’s, revising firmed W/O’s inside ERP system, performing inventory audits to identify and remove/rework affected product, drafting rework W/O’s and occasionally expediting the rework orders
Create supporting Engineering Masters/Work Orders in accordance with Service Bulletins
Investigate manufacturing challenges to provide systematic solutions that remove waste and increase productivity
Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues
Conduct cost / benefit analysis for changes to manufacturing processes and / or equipment

Requirements
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with four or more years related experience and/or training preferably in an aerospace environment.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college preferred
Experience in aerospace environment preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints for writing manufacturing procedures for shop use
Background and knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques
