Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, flux/trend analysis, and reporting.
Oversee and manage the general ledger accounting process, ensuring accuracy and completeness across all accounts.
Maintain and improve processes for accruals, reserves, intercompany transactions, and other liabilities.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies.
Partner with FP&A and business leaders to provide insights into financial results and support forecasting and budgeting.
Oversee account reconciliations, cutoff procedures, and discrepancy resolution; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Support internal and external audits related to general ledger and corporate accounting.
Update and maintain internal controls over general ledger accounting processes.
Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to a team of accounting professionals.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Accounting or Chief Accounting Officer.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1–3 years of experience leading or managing accounting staff
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and close processes
Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred) and advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
CPA or CMA certification preferred
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply‑chain–intensive environments
Prior audit experience (public accounting or internal audit)
Experience supporting SOX compliance and working within a controls‑driven environment
Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional initiatives or systems/process improvements.
