Assist with the design and development of test programs to measure the functionality and integrity of various products and services used in power control and power conversion systems
Write test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and evaluate the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications
Debug test hardware and software
Assist in design, build and/or procurement of new or improved machines, tools, fixtures and material handling equipment and coordinating the implementation
Responsible for completing process documentation, bill of materials, route sheets, etc.
Review project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions, and to support the design for manufacture
Set up and conduct tests of units and components
Analyze test results related to the design and test objectives and adjust equipment to bring within specifications
Record these test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods
Mentor and coach less experienced technicians
Requirements
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the defense industry
Competent technical expertise in testing of electrical and mechanical components
Experience with medium to high voltage equipment; familiarity with power controls and power conversion
