About this role
Role Overview
- Design parts, weldments, and assemblies to meet department objectives using CAD and other software in accordance with ISO Design Process.
- Works with Engineers, Sales Engineers, Production Personnel to interpret design requirements, determine detail required, and coordinate design with other designers.
- Resolves design issues with Sales Engineering and Production
- Uses CAD software to create designs and drawings
- Ensures design meets specifications
- Ensures design complies with NFPA standards
- Verifies designs and drawings for accuracy and completeness
- Works independently and with others
- Performs other assignments under direction of Supervisor or Manager
Requirements
- An Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- Experience in sheet metal or mechanical design is preferred
- Must be proficient with 2-D and 3-D computerized drafting programs
- 0-2 years of experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Software
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to comprehend and verbally communicate in English.
