Run multiple biweekly, semimonthly, and monthly global payroll cycles across multiple countries and worker types (exempt and nonexempt employees + contractors)
Partner with payroll systems and providers to ensure correct setup and execution
Collect, validate, and process payroll inputs, including:
new hires and terminations
salary changes
bonuses and commissions
timecards
unpaid leave, sick leave, PTO adjustments
reimbursements and one-time payments
Maintain accurate payroll records and audit trails for Finance and compliance
Ensure payroll changes are properly reflected in HRIS and payroll systems
Coordinate with Finance on payroll funding, approvals, and reporting
Support payroll reconciliations
Help ensure compliance with local payroll regulations, tax filings, and statutory requirements (in partnership with providers)
Respond to employee payroll questions (pay slips, deductions, timing, etc.) in a professional and timely way
Identify process improvements and implement scalable payroll workflows
Oversee state-level payroll compliance, including managing correspondence, registrations, and verification requirements across all current and future operating jurisdictions.
Administer retirement plan funding for the U.S. and U.K., ensuring timely, accurate uploads and ongoing compliance with local regulations.
Requirements
4+ years of payroll experience, including multi-country/global payroll, with preference for US, Ireland, UK, and Germany
Strong understanding of payroll operations, compliance, and best practices
Experience working with payroll vendors and EOR platforms
Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential data with discretion
Extremely detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Able to work independently and communicate clearly across teams
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
Experience supporting payroll audits and reconciliations
