Run client engagements from start to finish, which includes planning, executing, directing, and completing tax and transfer pricing projects and managing to budget.
Work to expand team and market presence in New York City.
Supervise, train, and mentor staff on tax and transfer pricing projects and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews; perform in-charge role as needed.
Evaluate and advise clients on intercompany transfers of tangible goods, intangible property, services, and loans and conduct financial and economic analyses of multinational and domestic corporations, industry and market research, economic valuations, comparative financial benchmarking, and report documentation.
Prepare and analyze financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance using MS Word, Excel, and various statistical sampling packages.
Review and analyze GAAP financial statements.
Identify opportunities for providing transfer pricing services and other special services.
Contribute to thought leadership materials.
Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax and transfer pricing related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
Provide planning assistance, audit defense/resolution, and prepare documentation.
Manage teams to produce client deliverables.
Enhance technical skills by remaining up to date on trends, new legislative developments, tax authority decisions, and apply them to complex situations relevant to the client.
Assist in the business development and go-to-market activities.
Requirements
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
Higher degree a plus
Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of progressive tax and transfer pricing experience in public accounting, consulting, or academia
Requires experience in several of the following areas: transfer pricing documentation studies, transfer pricing planning and design, financial statements analysis, valuations, quantitative and competitive analysis, statistical sampling and econometrics, strategy evaluation, and/or operational performance analysis
Requires experience with tax audits, dealing with tax authorities
Requires four years of supervisory experience.
Requires ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to local client sites.
Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities
Strong project management and organizational skills
Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in GAAP
Strong research and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software and technology
Strong English speaking and writing skills. Bilingualism is a strong asset
Excellent managerial, organizational, project management, analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
