About this role
Role Overview
Lead the planning & analysis team to develop both short
and long-term incentives strategy for HMA.
Design consumer incentive solutions to maximize sales volume and HMA profitability.
Lead the strategy and implementation of Consumer incentive programs, gathering input and feedback from the Regional Sales offices, Sales Operations, Finance, Marketing and other departments, to build consensus and drive the approval process among HMNA executive management.
Manage Executive Approval process for all Consumer Incentive programs.
Develop quantitative incentive program analysis and model forecasting programs, leveraging a wide range of demand sensing inputs (e.g. PIN, Market Scan, S&P) and incorporating HMNA sales performance and objectives to guide HMNA executive decision
making.
Work with Product Line Management teams to develop Consumer programs which optimize sales which are both geographic and inventory driven.
Closely monitor Operational Plan budgets and support reconciliation and forecast process monthly and on ad-hoc basis.
Work with Hyundai Capital to assure smooth implementation of APR and Lease programs.
Assure that program structures are optimized to fit into annual budget.
Manage development of dealer and salesperson objectives (STAR) assuring that programs fit into Sales Strategy.
Manage staff, effectively coach, counsel, and develop staff.
Utilize the diverse talents of the staff by efficiently managing staff's time, materials and budget while focusing on the goals and vision of the company.
Approve employees time off, approve weekly incentives payment, sign Purchase Requests and Accounting documents, submit budgets, override and approve incentives adjustments.
Manage vendors (define scope and ensure delivery of goods/services, monitor and drive performance, work to raise level of program effectiveness).
Approve payments and check requests in accordance with HR guidelines and the Company’s signature matrix.
Requirements
Must be a high school graduate.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Master’s degree a plus.
Ten or more years of experience of which at least eight years of directly related experience in distribution and or sales planning and analysis in the automotive industry or related experience.
Field experience in automotive sales and service preferred.
Three or more years of supervisory experience is desired.
Strong analytical skills using advanced level of Microsoft Excel
Familiarity of programming language
Excellent microeconomic and analytical skills
use both quantitative and qualitative data to create a broad, dynamic view of the automotive industry and consumer.
Effective knowledge of automotive pricing and incentives approaches and strategies
Experience managing, leading and mentoring teams to work well under pressure and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to influence a wide range of management levels, both inside and outside of HMA.
Proven track record presenting complex analyses in straightforward, digestible formats using both oral and visual methods to influence executive decision-making.
