Support our category management and share of shelf advice for our National Accounts in grocery and mass in Canada.
Lead Sales Initiatives across all grocery and mass, large format grocery.
Assess category data, make decisions in category assortment based on Nielsen / SPINS data.
Review New POG assortment, analyze data that requires necessary recommendations and or changes.
Help to build opportunities in shelf space distribution, new listings.
Ensure all presentations are seeking new listings across all majors.
Support brokers to ensure they are on task to attain listings as well as meeting sales objectives.
Build wholesale network and grow distribution.
Work with all grocery, mass Category buyers/directors and distributors.
Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination to support brokers and accounts with presentations and new distribution.
Effectively manage/organize data and category information.
Create Sales presentations and sales support for all accounts.
Visit Key Retailer H.O to meet with Sr. Cat. Managers and review as well as advise on changes/opportunities.
Build presentations with proper market data and category insights to capture maximum market share and share of shelf.
Build category expertise in the set to become the leader in each retailer.
Explore white space opportunities while keeping retailers engaged by providing factual category data as well as analysis.
Provide Category value by managing and analysis each retailer dashboard to assess proper velocities.
Manage Trade Spend and financial for each account to ensure proper spending and distribution is being achieved.
Explore and build off shelf opportunities to create consumer engagement.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in category management with CPG
Specifically with Large National Key Accounts in Grocery and Mass.
Preferably Bi-Lingual (French -English)
Strong Knowledge in Data capture, POG and Convenience Retail landscape.
Familiarity with Category Data software and reporting : Neilsen, Spins, IRI.
Strong skills with head office presentations and clear understanding of the Canadian Grocery and mass channel.
Must have strong Excel / Word /PPT / POG management tools / Retail POG software support.
Independent thinker and worker with minimal supervision.
Experience with category assessment and management specifically in National Key Grocery and mass accounts.
Understands POG/MOD timing and its implementations as well as its requirements.
Financial understanding in building account P&L to ensure proper account management.
Forecasting and demand planning experience in managing inventory as well as seasonality.
Has built industry knowledge and experience in such accounts as Loblaws, Wal-Mart, Sobey’s, and Metro etc.
