Support early-stage planning and pre-construction activities for utility-scale and front-of-the-meter energy storage projects, focusing on technical scope definition, constructability, risk identification, budget alignment, and schedule feasibility.
Develop, maintain, and actively manage detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and interconnection milestones.
Manage construction-related deliverables from development handoff through engineering, permitting, interconnection, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
Coordinate and manage EPCs, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with Prologis standards, utility requirements, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Partner with internal stakeholders to proactively identify, document, and communicate project risks, schedule impacts, cost variances, and execution issues; provide clear mitigation plans and escalation as needed.
Prepare and deliver regular project-level updates, including weekly schedule updates, cost status, risk logs, and milestone tracking for internal stakeholders and leadership.
Work closely with utility representatives to support interconnection approvals, permission to operate, and achievement of commercial operation dates (COD).
Support management of tax credit and incentive-related requirements, including Investment Tax Credit (ITC) compliance, prevailing wage and apprenticeship (PWA) documentation, cost segregation inputs, and coordination with internal tax, finance, and external advisors.
Ensure required incentive, compliance, and closeout documentation is complete, accurate, and delivered in accordance with regulatory, contractual, and audit requirements.
Manage construction schedules, change orders, contract deliverables, and cost controls throughout project execution.
Support Sales and Development teams by providing construction and execution input for energy proposals, including scope, schedule, safety, quality, and cost considerations.
Review and manage technical documentation including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, commissioning reports, contractor RFIs, and as-built documentation.
Support procurement and contracting activities, including RFP/RFQ development, bid evaluation, vendor selection, and subcontractor buyout for projects ranging from $10M–$100M.
Review and approve invoices, lien releases, compliance documentation, and closeout materials to support accurate payment processing and project turnover.
Support commercial contract administration and compliance in partnership with Legal, Procurement, and Finance, including issuance of required notices.
Requirements
6+ years’ experience leading and managing Pre-construction & Construction projects, preferably in the utility scale / front of the meter Energy Storage (BESS) / Gas Turbine power generation, Microgrid project arenas.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Planning or Engineering (Electrical, Civil or Structural).
Experience managing EPCs, GC, VPPA, PPA and utility interconnection upgrade agreements with strict commissioning requirements, as well as design-build, O&M, storage and energy as-a-service agreements.
Strong project scheduling and controls experience, including development and maintenance of detailed construction schedules and milestone tracking.
Experience supporting ITC and other renewable energy incentive compliance, including documentation coordination for PWA, cost segregation, and audit readiness.
Working knowledge of renewable energy incentives and programs (e.g., ITC, RECs, feed-in tariffs, community solar, SGIP).
Experience managing multi-site portfolios and performing technical due diligence.
Demonstrated success delivering complex construction projects in the renewable energy sector.
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience supporting or working with large enterprise or Fortune 100 customers.
Ability to travel up to 35%.
