Assists the Audit Project Manager in planning audit engagements.
Includes performing control testing based on audit program directions; applying appropriate sampling and control testing techniques; identifying and assessing the relevancy of potential issues; and documenting work performed in TeamMate Audit Solutions to support audit scope/conclusion in compliance with CAS Policies, Standards, and Guidelines.
Drafts audit issues under the supervision of the Senior Auditor and Audit Project Manager.
Includes identifying root causes rather than symptoms of control weaknesses, and developing appropriate recommendations.
Collaborates with colleagues and stakeholders to evaluate, test, and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls.
Performs other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically, more than two years of applicable experience
Basic knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact the assigned line of business
Relevant Financial Services Industry knowledge
Basic understanding of The Institute of Internal Auditors Global Internal Audit Standards and the common definition of internal controls
Knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, presentations)
