Assist in assessing the design and operational effectiveness of controls within various audits
Prepare for and attend process walkthrough meetings
Document process narratives and test controls for adherence to bank policies and procedures
Support the execution of the department's annual audit plan
Report to an Associate Audit Director and work with audit leaders across the department
Participate in audits in finance, banking operations, credit administration, risk management and compliance disciplines
Create audit documentation for process narratives using audit software
Respond to review notes generated by Audit Project Manager and Associate Audit Director
Assist in the closure of audit issues per audit methodology
Provide ad-hoc reports and status updates to supervisors
Comply with department annual training requirements
Attend team, peer and one-on-one meetings
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field required
Entry level experience focusing on liquidity management including liquidity stress testing, capital planning and stress testing, investment management, and interest rate risk is preferred
Entry level knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices is preferred
Entry level of internal control analysis and risk assessment methodologies, COSO framework, Institute of Internal Auditor standards, FRB Supervisory Letter 13-1 standards, GAAP, and/or Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 requirements is preferred
Entry level time management and organizational skills
Entry level communication and writing skills
Willingness to pursue and/or in the process of pursuing a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant or a related certification
