About this role
Role Overview
Responsible for Premier and Branch supervisory oversight, execution and implementation of first-line risk management, and business led governance routines
Lead a large team of professionals in the first line of defense
Provide direction and guidance for aggregated oversight and governance for all risk types
Responsible for the implementation of the company’s supervisory and risk programs
Support risk identification, mitigation, and coordination with BURE
Assist in business line management with identifying, assessing, controlling, mitigating, and communicating risks
Ensure all Premier and Branch Banking leaders are aware and accountable to operate within Risk Appetite
Leads Issue Management and oversees the execution of enterprise-wide Internal Control Reviews
Maintain a strong understanding of external competitive developments and their impact on the Branch and Premier business and strategy.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or science/academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience
Fifteen years of experience in financial industry, preferably in Operations or Risk Management related areas
Broad risk and regulatory knowledge with an emphasis on: Credit, Market, Liquidity, Compliance, Operational, Reputation and Strategic Risks
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
High-level analytical, planning, problem-solving and negotiation skills
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Thorough working knowledge of bank regulations
Demonstrate high level of competency in consulting and managing projects.
