Role Overview
- The occupational therapy assistant works under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Demonstrate competency in pediatric and adolescent assessment and intervention strategies
- Carry out a thorough evaluation and implement an appropriate treatment plan using evidence-based practice
- Effectively communicate treatment plans with the caregiver and patient
- Monitor patient progress and adjust the treatment plan
- Collaborate with other professionals in the organization and community
