Independently provides respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients
Performs all basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed by physicians
Applies and manages mechanical ventilators in collaboration with physicians
Assembles, operates, maintains, and troubleshoots durable medical equipment
Performs patient assessments and evaluates response to care
Communicates and collaborates with resource staff
May supervise department staff
May be assigned to various areas requiring respiratory care

Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Current license in state practiced as required by state law
Blood Gas Technologist certification in Nevada (if applicable)
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Valid drivers license and eligibility for coverage under the company auto insurance policy for Home Care setting
Knowledgeable of clinical techniques, applications and equipment
Highly effective human relation skills
