About this role
Role Overview
Design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based upon documented requirements.
Process-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems.
Work individually or as part of a team. Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
Resolve software problem reports.
Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
Provide input to the software components of system design including hardware/software trade-offs.
Create and maintain data workflows and automation pipelines using Apache Airflow and collaborate closely with data engineers and stakeholders.
Requirements
TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
OR
Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
Recent software development experience using Python and Java
Experience using Apache Airflow (DAG design, scheduling, operators, sensors) to orchestrate, schedule, and monitor complex workflows
Experience using Distributed Big Data processing engines including Apache Spark
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, containerd, and Podman
Experience with Git Source Control System
