Provide Risk Engineering expertise at the Account Level, support and assistance to The Hartford and its customers
Assist Large Property Underwriting in risk evaluation of accounts
Develop and maintain professional working relationships with Underwriting, Claims, Other HIG Business Partners, Clients and Brokers
Complete desk top reviews and risk assessments for underwriting evaluating and summarizing exposures and controls
Work with underwriting, the client and the broker where appropriate to develop customized Risk Engineering programs
Develop and implement Account Servicing instructions to guide Risk Engineering services being provided to assigned accounts
Develop year end account summaries for underwriting and the client as required by the different lines of business
Review, analyze and prioritize reports, recommendations, and correspondence received from other Property Specialists, Risk Engineering Field Consultants, clients, brokers, etc.
Requirements
BA/BS degree in Engineering or Fire Sciences is preferred
7+ years related experience in insurance or related field required
Highly Protected Risk (HPR) skills and experience required
Certification/designation(s) (i.e.) CFPS, PE, CSP, ARM, etc. (at least one is preferred, but not required)
Superior analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work in a fast changing, dynamic environment
Results oriented and high level of accountability
Motivated, self-starter. Works independently with minimal oversight.
