About this role
Role Overview
Overseeing clinical operations, staff management, compliance, and quality of care at our PPEC center.
Ensuring the delivery of compassionate, safe, and effective nursing services.
Leading, coaching, and supervising all nursing and direct care staff.
Ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skill mix based on census and patient acuity.
Conducting clinical assessments and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans.
Overseeing the admission and discharge process, ensuring clinical documentation is complete and compliant.
Monitoring and ensuring ongoing compliance with federal, state (DHH), and local regulations.
Preparing for and leading site visits, audits, and licensing inspections.
Managing incident reporting and follow-up investigations.
Coordinating in-services, clinical competencies, and continuing education for staff.
Partnering with families and physicians to ensure consistent, family-centered care and effective communication.
Participating in budget planning, supply management, and center operations.
Leading quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) efforts.
Requirements
Current RN license in Texas (unencumbered and active).
Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of pediatric nursing experience; PPEC, PICU/NICU, pediatric home health, or complex care preferred.
2+ years of supervisory/management experience in a healthcare or pediatric setting.
Knowledge of PPEC regulations, Medicaid guidelines, and applicable healthcare laws strongly preferred.
Experience in developing and evaluating care plans and clinical documentation.
Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Proficient in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
