Prepare actuarial analysis for senior management’s understanding of current and strategic endeavors
Address the need to provide a company-wide analysis of expenses, financial projections, experience analysis, oversight of financial statement results, and support M&A activities
Coordinate annual reserve testing and annual financial planning
Assist the valuation actuary as a key resource to any tactical or strategic projection
Direct experience analysis supporting principles-based reserves, cash flow testing, and pricing activities
Support the company’s assumption setting, ensuring strong controls and effective governance
Maintain and enhance rating agency models
Partner closely with business and IT teams to develop and maintain data solutions
Manage and coordinate company reinsurance analysis and oversight
Support staff development of actuarial expertise, financial acumen, and technical skills
Coordination of annual stress testing analysis
Requirements
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or equivalent
Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) required
Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant actuarial experience
Familiarity with interest sensitive products
Prior experience with financial reporting and disclosures
Prior experience with actuarial reserve testing
Understanding reinsurance concepts
Strong project management skills and high attention to detail
Prior experience with SAS, Python, and GitHub preferred
