Analyze, review, and/or conduct insurance premium audits in the field
Perform audits in the field for organizational accounts and resolve applicable disputes
Conduct timely and accurate premium and service audits, examining financial records pertaining to stated premium base
Manage audits on larger and more complex accounts and assist in resolving complex disputes
Deliver excellent customer service for the entire audit experience including responding to disputes
Provide technical assistance and resolve technical issues with internal and external customers
Communicate with customers, agents, and external constituencies throughout the audit
Connect with insureds, agents, and company personnel to communicate and provide audit findings
Consult with NCCI/WCIRB and other independent bureaus regarding classification and technical issues
Present the status of audit inventory on a regular basis to management
Partner with customers to ensure a professional and expeditious audit
Examine policyholder’s payroll records and operations
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required with a major or emphasis in Accounting, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 3 – 5 years of related experience as a Field Premium Auditor required
Carrier experience preferred
Associate in Premium Auditing (APA), Certified Insurance Premium Auditor (CIPA), or Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification preferred
Valid driver’s license required
Must have a good working knowledge of Commercial Lines policies (i.e., Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, other commercial lines coverages as applicable)
Experience working with WCRIB, NCCI, and other independent bureaus is highly desirable
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
