Oversee, supervise and lead the administrative and technical management of the Process Engineering team
Provide leadership and direction to a team of process engineers in the proper execution of engineering deliverables
Provide direction and support for compliance with regulatory guidelines and requirements
Maintain and promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and excellence
Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients
Strive for continuous improvement of new and existing process discipline work processes
Recruit, retain, mentor, coach, and lead all levels of team members
Assist in developing process engineering scope of work, work hours, and project design basis
Ensure providing leadership for process safety studies
Estimate resource requirements and people-hours for projects
Review project/process engineering deliverables for technical accuracy
Review projects for compliance with department standards and procedures
Ensure building and maintaining the network of process engineers across Stantec’s business lines

Registered P. Eng designation with APEGA or any other Canadian provincial jurisdiction
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s Degree would be considered an asset)
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Energy (Oil and Gas) related projects
Minimum of 8 years’ experience as Process Manager or Project Engineering Manager
Natural aptitude in problem solving using appropriate theoretical and practical engineering principles
Demonstrated experience in the management of large professional teams
Experience in all phases of design and engineering (full project life cycle)
Strong understanding of process engineering design and operations
Additional design and operations experience in utilities, offsite facilities, gas and liquid pipelines, and product terminals
Familiarity with process simulation, in particular, Aspen HYSYS, and/or Process Symmetry, PROMAX
