About this role
Role Overview
As Vice President and Practice Manager on the Employee Health & Benefits team, you will lead the performance of a defined segment within the production organization.
You will recruit and develop sales colleagues to drive revenue growth, strengthen client retention, and enhance team engagement.
Managing your own client portfolio, you will leverage MMA Midwest’s sales tools and best practices while coaching and guiding others.
As an active member of our key management team, you will set the standard by exemplifying MMA Midwest’s values, core passions, and long-term vision.
Requirements
10+ years of Insurance experience with proven success in client-facing account executive roles and a strong track record of building relationships and presenting to C-level executives
5+ years of people management experience in the insurance industry, including recruiting, coaching, and developing direct reports with a focus on team engagement and professional growth
Analyzing coverage, program financials, claims and loss rates, and other aspects to uncover opportunities for improvement; recommending changes, and putting forth service plans that create measurable value
Strong understanding of client industry niches, typical business challenges, and how to apply our service platform to deliver tailored solutions, while staying aware of industry trends, economic factors, and legislative changes impacting clients
Experience representing the company through writing, speaking, and networking within the client and insurance industry, effectively communicating our unique approach and value
Understanding insurance marketplace, carrier appetites, carrier programs, and services available; overseeing the placement of insurance products within own discipline
